Toronto Police Fail to Intimidate Parkdale Tenants

On Thursday, March 19, members of Toronto Police Services pounded on tenants’ doors at 75 Spencer and, in one case, harassed a tenant’s child who answered the door. Police targeted tenants who returned N4 eviction notices to Metcap property manager Fjoralba Jano’s mailbox.
This means police visited tenants Jano personally identified to them and requested they visit.
On March 22, tenants held a lobby meeting to discuss next steps in their fight against the above guideline rent increase.
Tenants stand united and will not be intimidated by Metcap or police.
